Epsom Junior Cricket

Epsom cricket club has qualified coaches that run junior sessions in the summer. Epsom junior cricket could be a lot of fun for your little ones. All summer training takes place at the main ground. It is located at Francis Schnadhorst Memorial Ground, Woodcote Road, Epsom, KT18 7QN. Training does not take place on Monday Bank Holidays but it does continue throughout the Summer holidays.

Sessions

Monday night training
U10 – U15 girls 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Wednesday night training
U16 – 18 Boys 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Thursday night training
U12 – 15 Boys 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
U5 – 6 Boys and Girls 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM

Friday night training
U7 – 11 Boys and Girls 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

One-on-One Sessions

For more in-depth teaching, you can also book one-on-one sessions. These coaching sessions cost £20 per hour. However, availability will depend on trainers’ commitments.

The nets are typically available for the coaches to run coaching sessions at the following times during the outdoor season:

Mondays: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Tuesdays: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Wednesdays: 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Thursdays: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Fridays: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Saturdays: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Sundays: 10:00 AM to 12 noon and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (far nets when matches are on).

Training Kit

You don’t need any special kit for training. So you can wear comfortable clothes appropriate to play sports in, such as t-shirt, shorts or joggers/tracksuit bottoms, and hoodies. You can also wear cricket whites (shirt and trousers), although shorts or tracksuit bottoms are an acceptable alternative to cricket trousers

Training Equipment

All equipment can be provided. However, they do not provide abdominal guards for boys and these must be supplied yourselves.

Adult Training

Junior Players may be asked to join Senior Training on Wednesdays at 6.30 PM. This is by invitation only and occurs when they are considered ready by the coaches to have potential (but not before U13, unless they are of County standard).
